There are four grades of caravan to choose from at Ty Mawr, all with television, kitchen and microwave, bedding, includes all gas Gold Standard Holiday Caravan at Ty Mawrand electricity. Bronze caravans are the basic, 2 or 3 bedroomed model, but you can take your dog with you when booking. The Silver ranges are more comfortable and up-to-date and you can check in a little earlier, whilst the Gold standard holiday caravans offer luxury fittings and flat screen TVs and DVD player. For the ultimate luxury, choose the Gold Plus which has central heating and double glazing.

Family Activities in North Wales


With only a ten minute walk to the start of miles of unspoilt beach, a short drive to the majestic landscape of Snowdonia and plenty of historical castles and forts to explore in the region, you will never be bored on this holiday. Most of the tourist attractions listed are within an hours drive of Ty Mawr - but please check.

Rhyl Sun Centre

Situated on Rhyl sea front and totally undercover, great for rainy days, is Wales largest Swimming Pool centre. With flumes, a wave pool, toddler areas and daredevil slides there's enjoyment for all the family, and only 15 minutes drive from Talacre Beach Holiday Park


Knightly's Funfair

Traditional funfair with go karts, crazy golf inflatables, bungee, arcade amusements, bingo, waltzers, extreme machine, dodgems and phoenix. Based in Towyn, a short drive from most holiday parks in the area.


Tree Top AdventuresTree Top Adventure - Snowdonia

High rope courses, adventure trails, giant swings and the knee-quaking Powerfun Plummet - all make for a great family day out at Tree Top Adventures.
Take the high rope system across beams, zip wires, bridges and other obstacles for an exhileratting day of family excitement - even  younger kids have their own Tree Tot Trail which is suitable for ages 4 - 8, whilst anyone over 4ft 3in can take advantage of the full body harness to test their nerve.



Chester Zoo

Visit the UK's no. 1 zoo, with over 8000 animals and set in over 110 acres of prize winning gardens. The zoo opens at 10 am each day with varying closing times, depending on the time of year. Animals include mammals, birds, reptiles amphibians, fish and invertebrates, all interspersed with kids play areas and fantastic gardens.



Blue Planet Aquarium

With fascinating displays showcasing the different  types of undersea environments, including the lates Coral Cave, this is a hugely enjoyable way to spend a day PLUS if you're brave enough you can actually dive with the sharks - for adults and children 8 - 15. Advance booking required.



Welsh Mountain Zoo

Set high above Colwyn Bay in beautiful landscaped gardens, and within easy driving distance of several of North Wales caravan parks, this zoo is home to a wonderful collection of monkeys, birds, amphibians, snow leopards and much more.


Rhyl Sea Aquarium

Plenty to see at this Aquarium, which is only a short drive from Prestatyn Holiday Park. Don't miss the sea lions show,, which is shown at 1 and 3pm. Other sea life attractions include tropical reef, British coastal and ship wreck zones. Get up close and personal with the rock pool creatures and visit the shark and seahorse family nurseries.


Llandudno Ski Slope & Snowboard Centre

Great family day out with skiing, snowboarding, toboggan and snow tube runs on offer. Age restrictions do apply to some activities and pre-booking is advised to avoid disappointment.


North Wales Tourist Information

Snowdonia National Park, home to one of the highest peaks in Great Britain and is a protected area of 'Outstanding National Beauty', so be sure to spend at least one day discovering the wonderful scenery and rugged landscape, before heading home.

Conwy Castle and Walled Town - dating from 1283 this is a magnificent dark stone fortress which has stood the test of time and with its long circuit of walls which encompass the town, and includes 22 towers is oen of the finest in the world.
