Family Activities In North Wales

Rhyl beach offers you the traditional Great British beach experience with donkey rides and Punch And Judy shows.

Just along the coast is the Welsh Mountain Zoo which is home to an impressive array of animals and is sure to be a hit with the younger members of the family.

Bodelwyddan Castle is only a short drive away and combines a museum and formal gardens with a fun element in the shape of scheduled ghost walks and the opportunity to dress in Victorian costume and have a photo taken.

Rhyl Sun Centre - 15 min drive

Situated on Rhyl sea front and totally undercover, great for rainy days, is Wales largest Swimming Pool centre. With flumes, a wave pool, toddler areas and daredevil slides there's enjoyment for all the family, and only 15 minutes drive from Marine Holiday Park


Knightly's Funfair - 30 min drive

Traditional funfair with go karts, crazy golf inflatables, bungee, arcade amusements, bingo, waltzers, extreme machine, dodgems and phoenix. Based in Towyn, a short drive from most holiday parks in the area.

Chester Zoo - 1 hours drive

Visit the UK's no. 1 zoo, with over 8000 animals and set in over 110 acres of prize winning gardens. The zoo opens at 10 am each day with varying closing times, depending on the time of year. Animals include mammals, birds, reptiles amphibians, fish and invertebrates, all interspersed with kids play areas and fantastic gardens.



Blue Planet Aquarium - 50 mins drive

With fascinating displays showcasing the different  types of undersea environments, including the lates Coral Cave, this is a hugely enjoyable way to spend a day PLUS if you're brave enough you can actually dive with the sharks - for adults and children 8 - 15. Advance booking required.

Snowdonia National Park, home to one of the highest peaks in Great Britain and is a protected area of 'Outstanding National Beauty', so be sure to spend at least one day discovering the wonderful scenery and rugged landscape, before heading home.
